Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior System Network Engineer to join our IT team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining network infrastructure, ensuring system security, and troubleshooting technical issues. This role requires expertise in network administration, cybersecurity, and cloud-based systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, configure, and maintain network infrastructure (LAN, WAN, VPN, Firewalls, Routers, Switches).
- Monitor and troubleshoot network and system performance to ensure optimal functionality.
- Implement security measures, firewalls, and access controls to safeguard data and prevent cyber threats.
- Manage and support Windows/Linux-based servers, virtualization (VMware, Hyper-V), and cloud services.
- Perform regular system updates, patch management, and data backups.
- Assist in network expansion and upgrades to meet organizational growth needs.
- Collaborate with IT teams to optimize system performance and troubleshoot escalated issues.
- Ensure compliance with IT policies, security protocols, and industry best practices.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 4-7 years of relevant experience in network administration, system security, and IT infrastructure.
- Proficiency in firewalls, switches, routers, VLANs, VPNs, and load balancers (Cisco, Fortinet, Palo Alto, etc.).
- Strong knowledge of Windows/Linux servers, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
- Hands-on experience with virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V).
- Expertise in network monitoring tools (Nagios, SolarWinds, etc.) and troubleshooting methodologies.
- Familiarity with cybersecurity frameworks, intrusion detection, and endpoint security solutions.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
